Jeez, have you guys heard yourselves?

When I go home to Australia and light up a 'duty-free' within 15 metres of the exit, I am told to move.

Why must I stand one side of the white line (on the floor) to smoke (but not allowed to drink) and the other side of the white line to drink yet not be allowed to smoke?

Why do I get fined for taking 2 bottles of wine on a picnic instead of one? Why do I get prosecuted for checking the time on my mobile phone whilst sitting at a red traffic light in my car?

Because like it or not, every country has rules and us mere mortals are expected to obey them and do as we're told. So what makes China so different - other than the fact it has different rules?

China is NOT the west and the west is NOT China - get over it !
