Yes, exactly right. And generally those without degrees/enough teaching experience will work at such places. I heard of a guy whose background was manufacturing working at one such "school".

The ESL industry in China is a joke. Come plenty of motivated teachers who want to share their knowledge and friendship only to be thrown in a classroom full of spoiled brats with no curriculum whatsoever. Unscrupulous bosses and managers with no clue whatsoever about education and who only care about money, think they know better than the FTs.
