Since I wrote that message I have been in contact with a visa-broker and he says I need to enter on a Q1 visa. Further prodding and he divulged that I don't need to show a travel ticket, so I can buy one-way. which will save money. Getting enough information is a struggle, it appears to be a bit at a time.
