Re Foreign deechers with fake diplomas hunted down and arrested in China

Debates seems to be one way streets to you. FTs aren't "surgeons", although you appear to want to be one. While your music about how China has been developing may be fine for many ears, your blindness is deplorable. Aside the fact that the booming local economy has mostly improved the look of the nation's schools rather than their curriculum, the older China-FTs that have contributed to the local society regardless their schooling ought to be recognized rather than scrutinized. In any case, the Chinese education hasn't developed equally with other sectors at all since the change from Mao to Deng, and many students are graduating with little practical knowledge in China and that Chinese teachers inclusive. What most FTs have done here at least is that they have opened the little minds and allowed them to understand what it is like outside their boxes which did not require any brain surgeon too. SO, coming here to suggest to readers that some of us may be "idiots" and that the qualified Chinese native teachers may be better to teach "Oral English" is worth a rebuke. Whether you twist your following messages to your advantage again and then come up with some further false premises or not remains to be seen on the board that's so full of you.

Doctor Replied:
There is nothing wrong with it. You wouldn't accept to undergo surgery by a poorly trained surgeon either. So, apply the standards you expect for yourself also to others as otherwise it would be discrimination. Then, be aware that there is a common pattern: A nation like China will in the initial stages or moderniztion accept almost every white face, whether duly qualified or not. Later, at a stage of progress and advance, they will become more picky, raise standards and requirements of who is entitled to a Z visa, etc. For the less desirable figures in Chinese ESL, it may be hard to face this truth. To me, it makes sense as now China is dealng with the rest of the world and the old days of privileges for Western FTs, whether qualified or not, are over -those days when qualified Chinese native teachers earned threetimes less than what any Western idiot not being able to count till ten at a Chinese school would earn. Good!!!!!

I Wrote:
One second thought, the under-qualified foreigners that have long ago been invited to teach in countries around the world, and then they have been scrutinized/disgraced years later there are probably feeling the guns to their heads just as you have described here.
