The relative amount of
relative freedom it offers along with the rule of law exists to make it better -
gradually, step by step.

I don't see it getting better though Doc. In fact quite the contrary. Day by day the PC brigade invade our personal lives further and further. Governments become more greedy and would happily tax the air that we breathe if they could.

Of course it's a matter of perspective. Countries such as China and those in the west all have their pro's and con's, and even those pro's and con's vary due to individual perspectives. I don't despise where I am from, but I do despise what my country is becoming, and I have no doubt that many American people feel the same about their country, especially when taking into account the most recent tragic events.

No country is perfect. But for now at least, I am enjoying the relative freedom that China has to offer when compared to certain western countries that want to fine me for walking down a one-way street the wrong way.
