The fact that the nations which attacked Brits in WWII and a thousand years ago virtually run the EU ought to be looked at. Germany and France are at the front of many significant affairs while Angela Markel's got some Europeans by the balls.
Anyhow, Brits won't be "crawling back down" but climbing back up while Germans and French will be fighting. Whether it'll be diplomatic or militarized conflict remains to be seen. Sadly enough the history will repeat once we all are in a great depression. Let's hope that this time we won't be stupid enough to invest in Germans who are mostly racist.

In your humble opinion perhaps. Many people in the anti-European camp see this as nothing other than a business decision. Britain needs to take back its borders, its economy and its sovereignty. Whether or not the decision turns out to be prudent or not, remains to be seen. However, the people of Britain have spoken - just as your countrymen will soon speak. At least Britain has a fighting chance; what have you got to look forward to....Coke, or Pepsi?

Nationalism is the final rat-hole in which to hoard racism, religious intolerance and class elitism.
That rat-hole could be a desirable mush-sort-after residence for many of us.
