Somebody mentioned that I may be able to get extra pension or child benefit when I get to the
right age. I wonder if that will be frozen if I live in China.
If you are from UK - then I think that when you reach the age to claim your pension and you have permanently left the UK then the pension is frozen as of the date you left.

Had the first night in the flat. It was as quiet as the grave, thankfully. Of course if you have a decent flat and can get cheap beer and fags, buy bacon and butter, don't have to work too hard, you can hate China with a vengeance-It doesn't matter, you can just stay in and smoke and drink and have gratuitous sex with Mrs Lotus Blossom Jones.
