Chinese people never seem to be able to 'come clean' and tell people the REAL reason why they decide to do something.
Spot on. The goalposts are moved all the time, without any explaining, nor do they feel they need to. It's hardly cricket, as another older poster would say?

I'm not getting 'caustic' at all. I'm just stating a fact about accents. As is the norm in China, there is little doubt that the South African accent is just an excuse not to allow South Africans into the country. Chinese people never seem to be able to 'come clean' and tell people the REAL reason why they decide to do something.
