I use an old-style razor. I have taught my wife to shave me with it. At first, I had to endure some cuts. But now she is an expert. Same goes for cutting my hair. So I needn't visit a hairdresser. She is also good at washing me, face included, and massage. She tells me a Chinese wife wouldn't do all those things for a Chinese husband. I say she can do them for me as I'm far away from my homeland. She agrees fully.
The secret with the old style safety razor is to loosen the handle slightly at the head of the razor by turning the handle a little in an anticlockwise direction to allow the blade to move more freely. That means you can get a better shave, allowing you to remove stubborn stubble more easily. You have disabled the safety feature when you do so, so shave with caution!
