Re Donald Trump’s D.C. Hotel Shows His Brand Is Sinking Along With His Poll Numbers

I might look for a rattle snake to help Uncle Donald share the company of the same in bed. Nothing of importance, though.

BTW, what about your next venture? Any plans?

Trump's next venture will be a golden toilette in New York City that people can use for a fee of 1,000 USD per minute.
I expect it to be a failure, too....LOL

OK T, we got it that you despise Trump.

BTW, what about your next venture? Any plans?

Donald Trump’s D.C. Hotel Shows His Brand Is Sinking Along With His Poll Numbers

Silverboy: His DC hotel has low occupancy and had to discount prices heavily (lower occupancy and cheaper than hotels in the area). This hotel is his next failure. The guy is a loser. Don't believe me. Here is Forbes:

As his controversial presidential campaign rages on, earlier concerns over room rates have resurfaced in light of a lukewarm reception to the hotel’s September 12th soft opening. Reports abound of heavily discounted prices and vacancies in the hotel, as allegations of sexual abuse (which Trump denies) and the firestorms over his immigration comments threaten to damage his brand.

Trump’s checkered financial history, marred by numerous corporate bankruptcies, was also questioned. Colony Capital, a private investment firm that was a partner in the initial bid, eventually bowed out of the project, citing that the timeline had become too long for the firm.

But in the days leading up to the World Bank–IMF’s October meetings in D.C., the property reportedly offered discounted room rates, while other five star hotels in the downtown area were fully booked out. Currently, rooms at The Four Seasons Hotel — which Trump’s camp has compared his property to – start at $775 per night for a Oct. 27th booking, while prices at the Trump hotel start at $404 per night. The nearby St. Regis, another historical landmark close to the White House, charges $565 and up per night.

And here from NYMag.com: "Donald Trump’s D.C. Hotel Shows His Brand Is Sinking Along With His Poll Numbers":
The 263-room five-star hotel in the historic Old Post Office building opened last month. But even with a prime location near the White House, swanky interiors, and aggressive promotion by the candidate himself, empty rooms have forced the hotel to reduce rates during a peak season.

Some of the issues even predate Trump’s presidential campaign: When the government inked a 60-year, $200 million lease with Trump in 2012, rival hoteliers took the unusual step of warning Uncle Sam that the deal could turn into yet another Trump business failure.

“It’s a shame that it is called Trump because it’s a beautiful property. But overall, his brand is hurting,” the travel agent adds.
