Hello To You All

My questions are to those who are more in the know than I am. So this question is about marriage to a Chinese National here in China. I have gone to my embassy and I now have my paper stating that I have never been married before in my home country and we are going to take it to the local powers to be here in our town for the next step to getting our marriage license.

What I am asking is does a marriage here stop the need to be always getting a Z visa to work here in China? How long does a married foreigner need to wait to get her/his Chinese ID card/passport? Are there are thing that I am forgetting to do from what I have told you?

Anyone with any ideas, knowledge or any other input please drop me a line here. It all would be very helpful for me. Thank you all very much.
