R Parfitt or D Bowie've lived their full lives but G Michael, M Jackson, Prince or M Monreau have not. So, how sad is it to die so early? Some have real troubles to deal with their famous lives that offer them so much. My observation is that for those getting to the top is much easier than coming back down.

Saturday, December 24. Rick Parfitt (Status Quo), died at his home in Marbella, Spain.

The following day, George Michael died at his home in England.

Though I was never a fan of George's music, one has to accept that he had an awesome voice and that his contribution over the years has been astounding. To die at 53 is a real shame. Parfitt, who brought joy to millions of people during some 40 years, was 68.

2016 has seen an inordinate number of well-known people passing away.

R.I.P Rick and George.
