Re: Re It's Sick!

More than a few people on this board have English as a second language.

It's not a crime, right?

I had to google Jonathan Swift.

.. on an English teachers forum. Sigh. Or as Daffy would write: 'Nuf said.'

Re It's Sick!

By her own 'Yes, I'm sick' admission, the poster known as 'Trump diplomacy' has attempted to
tug on the proverbial heartstrings of people on this board by asking for advice on
whether or not her son should have a sex-change operation. Apparently in response to
Taffy's postings regarding his lovely daughter.
Her attempt at creating a sensible discussion appeared to succeed, at least at first.

I failed miserably. My intent was not to elicit emotional support nor 'sensible discussion' on an internet forum. I attempted to vividly display the dangerous foibles of 'parenting by media proxy'. To no avail.
Apparently, this forum would provide Jonathan Swift heartfelt medical advice for Gulliver.
Please: 'have at it' as Daffy would write. Anyone want to discuss their child's emotional travails punctuated by pDog's rants and prostitutes? Pictures please!

It's Sick!

By her own 'Yes, I'm sick' admission, the poster known as 'Trump diplomacy' has attempted to tug on the proverbial heartstrings of people on this board by asking for advice on whether or not her son should have a sex-change operation. Apparently in response to Taffy's postings regarding his lovely daughter.
Her attempt at creating a sensible discussion appeared to succeed, at least at first. Posters on this board demonstrated beyond doubt that they have at least SOME genuine feelings as well as a genuine desire to help.

Even the likes of 'Pigsy' can demonstrate from time-to-time that beneath a seemingly uncaring and impenetrable exoskeleton there lies a tiny heart.

What this poster has done is to make any further attempt, by any poster, to open up a discussion that requests help or advice, almost impossible, at least in the near future.

Many of us here have a somewhat 'sick' or 'warped' sense of humour, but at least our postings are transparent enough that others recognise a 'sick joke' when they see one. What she did went far beyond that. Reprehensible behaviour indeed!

The trouble is, she'll just go away when she realises no-one wants to answer her posts anymore, then come back under a new name.

It's no wonder that people who are capable of making intelligent posts here, and who often offer genuine help and advice over great lengths of time, end up leaving. (Amused, Migsy, etc)

Words fail me....
