Comparison with trump

The survey found that 36% of American voters approve of Trump's handling of his job after his first week, while 44% say they disapprove. By comparison, former President Barack Obama received a 59%-25% approval rating in the first Quinnipiac poll taken after his inauguration in 2009.

Poll: Obama greatest president, tied with Reagan

Today, Obama is virtually tied for first place in a new poll of the greatest modern president.

The Quinnipiac University poll indicates 29 percent say Obama is the greatest president since World War II — just shy of the 30 percent who cite Ronald Reagan, the long-standing titleholder.

Re: Re Tribute to a prince

Landing at March Air Reserve Base (about 50 miles west of Palm Springs) due to bad weather in Palm Springs. He and his family must have arrived at destination as I type (6:30pm Pacific Time). The fact that he chose California as his first destination says a lot about California.

Enjoy your well deserved vacation, Mr. President.

Re Tribute to a prince

This god-awful day is almost over.

Only [(365 X 4) + 1 leap day on Feb 29 2020 - today] days left....

Re: Re Tribute to a prince

Can't agree with all his policies, but I agree with most of them. But beyond policies, he is, as Curious wrote, a prince.

The world (including the planet) needs you, Barack.

Wishing you an excellent post-presidency era.

prince and the pauper

I have been disappointed by many of Obama's militaristic policies, although I was pleasantly surprised and proud of U.S. citizens moving beyond race to elect a black man with a Muslim sounding name.

Obama, however, is a well-spoken, intelligent gentleman who by comparison acts to cast a spotlight on the lecherous buffoon who now occupies the White House.

American Carnage indeed.

Re Tribute to a prince

Best president ever.

I hear that his flight to Palm Springs is being diverted to a nearby airport because of heavy rain. What a day! After he had to leave a nice message on trump's new desk and escort trump from the capitol to the inauguration platform. He will be so happy, I am sure, to see the end of this day!

Tribute to a prince

We will miss you, Barack.

Thank you for what you did.

(and for what you tried to do despite a totally obstructionist Congress)

Best wishes for a nice relaxing stay in Palm Springs.

You are loved.
