Barnum & Bailey Circus Make Room for a New Ringmaster

Democrats contemptuously suggested that the inauguration of Donald J. Trump on Friday rendered a three-ring commercial circus superfluous because now the United States has its own P. T. Barnum as president.

In an interview on “Meet the Press” last year, Mr. Trump unabashedly embraced his comparison to the embodiment of humbug and hubris. “We need P. T. Barnum, a little bit, because we have to build up the image of our country,” he said.

But, like Nero and even Barnum, Mr. Trump will have to deliver bread, too, to a nation in which millions of voters who felt shortchanged and cold-shouldered risked running away from the comfort of their traditional political cocoons on Election Day to join his traveling circus.

Regardless of one’s disguise, his delivery will reveal his true nature.

Re Why Didn't They Vote?

Don't shoot the messenger. Trump has a valid point, but to answer your questions:-

Why should women be 'single issue' voters? Who says they should?

Why should women have more faith in the electoral system than the millions of men who chose not to vote? They shouldn't, but men are not marching or demonstrating

Why shouldn't women be able to 'hold their nose' and vote for Trump because of their individual belief in immigration restrictions, gun ownership or the immorality of abortion? Isn't that his point? These women didn't vote for ANYONE (in Trump's view), so what gives them the right to complain?

Why shouldn't women abhor Hillary's collusion with Wall Street financiers? Rhetorical question

Why do men refer to women as "these people"? Stupidity

When will individuals stop creating 'the other' by viewing the world through gender, race, religion and nationality? Good question. Perhaps you should ask FiFi? After all, she demonstrated her own 'the other' attitude when she essentially attacked me for not sharing her viewpoint.

Why Didn't They Vote?

The following was taken from MSM.....

The gender gap in the election was large: Trump beat Clinton by 53 percent to 41 percent among men, while Clinton won among women by 54 percent to 42 percent. The gender breakdown among white voters was different, however: Trump beat Clinton among white women 53 percent to 43 percent.

Hhmm, Trump tweeted : Watched protests yesterday but was under the impression that we just had an election! Why didn't these people vote? Celebs hurt cause badly.
