Zhanjiang is awesome! We now have Walmart 
OK, not a big seller, but I have lived here for almost 2 years now and love it. The main campus of GD Ocean U is a little bit out of town; but the bus runs there often. Or you can buy a bicyle and ride into town. GDOU is situated at a famous lake--a volcanic lake. There only 2 in the world-here and in Germany. ZJ is a small city by Chinese standards--around 3 mil

I have received an offer to teach at Guangdong Ocean University in Zhanjiang. I have done a little digging and can find no comments, either good or bad , by any foreigner who has been there. If anyone knows anything at all about either the school or the city, I'd be very appreciative if you could pass it along.
