$2700 per month renders to around 19,000 RMB. Most of us, including the arrogant Linguisticus, would kill for such a salary. It depends on where you are going!............what kind of school you are going to.......and whether the offer is real!! As for what kind of package? That salary, with accommodation thrown in sounds pretty good. Ask about water, gas, electricity, Internet hook-up........and how many hours actual teaching.

Hi Iverson,
The offer you got is not realistic.Never in China can a native english teach make USD2700/month.The norms is between RMB4,000 - 8,000/month.
Is it an International school?If not,then it's a bogue.

Hi everyone,
I need your help in this area of salary. This is my first oversea teaching job in china.
Firstly, I am being offered USD2700 per month including accomodation. May i know whether is this the market rate? And what are the kind of package I should ask for. If possible, pls share with me your package deal
