How to be a native...

A native speaker of English means that you were born in an English speaking country, English must be your 1st language, mother tongue. It means that you can speak English colloquially as well as formally.
If one thinks how to teach, it will come out more formally. This is why impromptu free talking is great, it teaches common usage.

Beatrix-good luck. :D

"Natives --ASAP!"

Most of the ads are like this in China. And if you run slowly you will not win the race and will not be chosen as a teacher and this: "NATIVES..."What does that mean?People who speak all kinds of dialects? No experience,no University Degree...Since August I have been looking for a serious job as an English Teacher in Guangdong Province/// Bachelor Degree, experience --even 3 years in China///but most of the schools prefer English teachers-tourists!No Z visa.No Invitation letter from the Foreign Affairs Office. And of course,no benefits for the foreign teachers who ,actually, most of them, want to spend a nice time near Hong Kong, tourists! How about the poor Chinese students?I think the Chinese Government should do something about this....
Teacher-Educator-University Degree-Experience...
Legal Schools and please,no racing in recruiting!
Carol---NON-Native Experienced English Teacher who loves China and the Chinese students.
