Re: Teachers UNION

You are right to be cautious.

First of all, what reputable website would not register their domain name? I checked and it's not listed. Even if it's in the "early days" of development, registration would seem a prerequisite. Having said that, there are some dodgy websites that are registered. Second, a "union" implies some kind of membership and representation. Who is going to fund this? Third, and perhaps most important, there is a very nasty and clever virus spread by users visiting fake sites. This virus is so effective that anti-virus software doesn't pick it up at present. It's was in the news in the last week so check it out.

If I'm wrong OK, but for a new venture to supposedly help teachers, it's not a good start! And, as yet there only one post from this new venture.

Re: Teachers UNION

If you do a search, the only place this website shows is here. Sounds like the site is either a fraud or in its infant stage of growth.

Re: Teachers UNION

STRANGE: I tried accessing this website from China yesterday, didn't work. Trying again today through a proxy server. It worked first time. Website Blocked. Strange.

Teachers UNION

TO ALL ESL TEACHERS

We at ESL TEACHERS UNITED.org need to hear your school stories from hiring, work atmosphere, contracts, etc in our forum at www.eslteachersunited.org.

ESL Teachers United is a brand new website created by ESL teachers and maintained by ESL teachers. As we are tried of the bs in being an ESL teacher, we have decided to unite our forces and begin to start an international teachers union.

Our forum opened yesterday and is categorized by country. We need to hear the exact details of your experiences in our forum so that we, as a collective whole, can design a school-by-school teacher assessment/rating system.

There is a link at www.eslteachersunited.org/links.html for you to return to ESL Teachers Board.

For years schools and management have been pulling disgraceful hiring and employment stunts. The game is over. Please join ESL Teachers United and lets, in pure united numbers, put the honorable job of ESL teaching back in our control.

Thank You,

ESL Teachers United
