Re: Reference letter update

Tell lies, just like they do,but CLEVER ones, unlike them!
You can get a teaching job in China without any references so long as your face is a white one!

Re: Reference letter update

Hi. I'm currently working for a training center in Shanghai and I resigned about two weeks ago. Now the company is threatening to not give me a letter of release or recommendation. Do these things expire? Can I wait it out? I have studied Chinese for four years and have planned to live in China since I was sixteen. I'm 22 now and I work for a company that has breached it's contract three times and when I plan to leave they are trying to make it so I can't work again. What can I do?

Re: Reference letter update

So just to clarify, reference letters and letters of release are quite different then?

I have finished my contract several months ago and now am on a business visa doing short term(less than 6 months) study. I have an excellent reference from my school. Do I need a letter of release from them too if i wish to get a job after this short term study?

cheers

Josh
