Very good post,Silverboy!Everyone should accept losing face graciously if it is justified.But the Chinese will often refuse to accept losing face in front of their peers, even it is is deserved.Rather than learn from their mistakes,they try to sidestep the issue,and when that doesn't work,they are enraged at the person who decided to make an issue of it.
Of course,losing face deservedly can happen in the West too.But such Westerners who are cornered seldom exhibit rage in public.The difference is Westerners learn by their mistakes.The Chinese?No,they feel they needn't!That's the basic problem!It's culture-based,so it can't be eradicated swiftly!
