Re: An Asian American in Japan???!?

Asian-American, Afro-Canadian, Euro-Slovakian, Antarctic-Nigerian blah, blah, blah - who cares? Remember they always ask for a photo first and if they make their judgement based on THAT, and not the qualifications you send, they are not worth your time. I've run into a few over the years but I have never lost any sleep over it. What usually happens is they p*** enough people off and usually end up getting what they deserve - poor quality teachers. The ones who suffer are the students (and parents) who have placed their trust and/or money with these people.

An Asian American in Japan???!?

Hi,

I was wondering what the Japanese language schools' policy are on Asians teaching English? From what I've heard, it's .....yeah. Ideally speaking, it shouldn't make a damn difference, but I suppose the world is far from ideal.

mmm, TIA?
