I'm glad that you have proved yourself not to be a groveling weasel. Though you were in the right, your Chinese employer won't ever accept that. In his eyes, you are a troublemaker. However, you have only stuck up for your rights.
It's a great pity that too many of us FT's here aren't prepared to follow your example. So, the dishonesty of some Chinese employers will go on and on!

The matter was dealt with in the 'spirit of friendly co-operation' with the only man in the place who is prepared to display a similar attitude, and I leave the school next weekend anyway, so there are no more weekends to be disputed. It is these types of Chinese employers who give the good ones the same bad name as they have.
