Re: Attention - Frank Zhang wangbadan at work again!

Turino, I believe there are such employers and cases of counterfeiting around, and since employers are the ones to do it all why recruiters ask for so much documentation? Should the Resume be just enough for a recruiter? Then, should any recruiter be the authority to go over private documents and credentials of applicants from around the world?

On another note, and sticking to Turino's point of some dishonest employers, my observation is that many do not even need to counterfeit anything as they've got connections up their arses and in the right places. That's why they've also got their business licenses after all. Some PSBs do not even bother looking in the application as long as they know what company it is. Gents, we're living in a polluted world, aren't we?

Cheers and beers with an unpolluted cold one :)

This can of worms has not yet been opened completely by Turnoi and yourself.Let me take the lid off by adding that forgery of university degree parchments and transcripts is not only done by some recruiters, but also by a few direct employers, such as training centres.Without resorting to forgery, employers cannot obtain Foreign Experts Certificates for
those members of their foreign staffs who are not holders of at least a bachelor's degree from a western university. No FEC means no Residence Permit!

Re: Attention - Frank Zhang wangbadan at work again!

Virtually all recruiters e-mail scans of an FT's degrees/diplomas plus his/her resume and passport to potential employers because that is what is expected by schools/colleges/TC's. No surprise there.
Now I'm not puzzled any more re your question about what may be done with said electronic material thereafter. Thanks for your clarification. I was right in supposing you already knew the answer to the question you had posted. That said, thanks again for airing the smelly WC. Skeletons should not be locked away in cupboards.

Re: Attention - Frank Zhang wangbadan at work again!

Puzzled, your post is quite puzzling and that with all due respect to you. Why would you open the door, if you smelled the sh*t?

what do these kinda recruiters do with all the documentation they receive from fts, such as copies of passports or credentials?
Puzzled replied:
What a strange question to ask! Presumably, they just delete the electronic copies once they've used them to place foreign teachers. Or do they do other things with them. I wouldn't have thought so, but maybe you think otherwise!
Strangely enough, there's a sh*t load of recruiters around. Just have a look at this site or the elt site and see for yourself. They claim there're 100s of jobs here or there, but then they usually do not back their claims up with their follow-ups on fts applications. Moreover, when a ft asks for a specific location, city or province to work in, these recruiters lead the ft into other cities and/or provinces which proves the point that there aren't as many jobs they've got as they claim they've got.
So, Puzzled, wouldn't you say the door to abuse is open and these electronic copies deletions of fts documents are a hell lot of work for these busy recruiters? Why would the recruiters need fts' passport or credential copies after all? Why couldn't the recruiters just pass on the applications info wihtout the copies to the employers for further considerations is a bit puzzling? Overseas applicants get their paperwork ready themselves before they enter mainland and local fts' applications end up being handled by the employers and fts themselves, don't they?

Cheers and beers to all of our points of views on the topic :)
