Thank you for your quick reply Turnoi. I do agree that the kids are very young to be in school, but it is compulsory to start at 3 years old here. Actually, I have a colleague who is even working with 2 year olds! With my other 3 year old classes I do not have the same problem - they behave very well most of the time and enjoy singing songs and shouting out responses to me. But this class that I have problems with does not do well with anything.

I appreciate the suggestions. I am supposed to be helping them practice speaking in English, and your excursions would be good, but I do not have the time or the authority to take them on field trips while I only have them one hour per week and I am interning at the school (not a true employee). A walk might work, but I could only walk them through the halls of the school. I might try that next week and see if there are any improvements in behaviour.
