Despicable, and that's in HK, not on the mainland! God help us if we ever need emergency medical treatment on mainland!

I recall reading some posts in a forum thread a couple of years ago re a young African FT based in Suzhou who had undiagnosed type 2 diabetes, and died suddenly and unexpectedly at a karaoke in the city while deejaying. He had had the Chinese medical exam before obtaining his work permit! One would have thought his illness would have been detected during analysis of his urine sample. Unfortunately for him, it wasn't. As his foreign colleagues were not able to muster sufficient funds for the repatriation of his remains to his homeland, he was cremated before repatriation of his ashes.
