Your reply to that newbies' post is more or less what I'd have expected from you. But unlike you, I'm pleased that that foreign teacher is very happy with his first teaching position in China, and I'm not going to try to dampen his enthusiasm by bringing up certain limitations on his freedom, among other things, like you've done.
