Unless she has a passport from either US, UK, Australia, NZ, or South Africa she will not be allowed to teach legally in South Korea.
Illegally, probably, but she'll have to look once you get here as nobody is going to sponsor a person who can't get a visa.
Sorry.
I have looked at many different job postings, most clearly state they want native speakers. Some even state they want native speakers from Canada and USA.
What kind of passport does she have? That will make a big difference.
Countries like Japan and South Korea have very strict entrance rules for teachers. Most of them require the teacher to be a native speaker and to have a BA degree.
Hey everyone,
As you can see I have a question about trying to find a job teaching in korea. I am Canadian so I dont think it would be a problem to find a job but my girlfriend is German. She just graduated with a degree in English teaching and is completely fluent. I must admit her english is better than mine. Is it possible to get her a job in Korea, i mean without going there and finding one once there?? Has anyone ever heard of someone getting a job that wasnt a native english speaker? She has the blone hair, blue eye thing going for looks type of thing and she has lived both New Zealand and the UK so she has all kinds of experience with english. Thanks for any help
