If you are a US citizen, the odds of your success are very, very small. EU jobs require EU citizenship, and so you wont qualify for a visa or legal work status. EFL is quite competitive in the EU and there are lots of British passport holders (who are entitled to work legally in the EU) applying for very jobs, especially in Germany.
I would look for another place to work. Sorry

Hi, I would like to teach ESL in Germany. I have never done this before, or worked in Europe, for that matter. If there is someone from the US who has done this and could give me some tips, especially on my resume, I would really appreciate it. thank you ;)
