I agree with you. I hear many stories about "drunken FT's" in China, half the stories are rubbish.

I agree with this statement. I continually hear Chinese use the above statement about drunken foreign teachers, yet most have never encountered one. It is a stereotype that has become a long standing one. I think they use it because they believe it offends us. It's funny because in my home country I never came across so many people stumbling about drunk as I do here in China, and they are not foreigners. The Chinese are some of the hardest drinkers out there, so it seems rather amusing that they latch onto this one thing when their own people have an inordinate amount of lushes within their ranks.
