Guess I just got lucky, but as I have a private income I can be choosy. But we have to work and in my opinion it is a proper teaching job and not one where they just want foreign faces.

And to be fair, most places in China just want foreign, esp white, faces. I knew a Serbian guy who learned his english from watching American movies and had no trouble getting work at various places...go figure?!

As for subscribing to the economist, kudos!
