By the way, Ashley's boss is a big cheat. 27 classes for 4500 yuan/month is an absolute disgrace. There must be some absolutely desperate foreigners working there for basement pay like that. Even if they were non native speakers of English or coloreds, that Chimese employer's actions would be inexcusable.

For the record, senior high school or junior high school work should be recompensed by at least 5000 yuan a month for 18 - 20 teaching hours plus LIMITED time spent on other duties, such as English corners, say 4 clock hours a month maximum. That's just an average deal!
For higher education, substitute 5000 by 4500 for 16 - 18 class hours, plus time spent on other duties the same as above, to quantify an average deal.

Anything significantly inferior is bad cheating. Sadly, there are plenty of idiotic and desperate foreigners already in China happy to accept such bad deals. What a sisgrace to the teaching profession they are!
