Re Good or bad offer?

I never really thought of it that way, but thanks for pointing it out to me.
I suppose I will either have to negotiate a pay rise or a drop in hours or find
another job.
Getting mighty sick of these Skype interviews :)

Re Good or bad offer?

It's 20 teaching hours a week plus 10 office hours.

In this area of the country, is 6000 good? I'm thinking that's a crazy week...probably 27 classes, pending on how many classes are in the grade you are teaching...plus 10 hours office...could possibly be 2 hours of English corner each day! That would bloooowwwww!

Re Good or bad offer?

In my opinion, you should also take into account how many lesson plans will be needed per week, > 2 not good, and the length of each teaching hour, and the cost of living in the area you will be teaching in, as well as time spent commuting to work, The 'office hours' part is no so good, and I wonder whether it'a a training center or a private school, not good either. If the job's in Shanghai or in Guangzhou city, the salary is on the low side compared to the high cost of living there. Also beware of having to teach evenings and/or weekends regularly, that's bad as the hours are unsocial. Tread with caution!
