That's one reason, life in a container is not so pleasant.
The other and more serious thing is that in the KSA, your passport will be withheld by your employer in exchange for a kind of residence permit you will be given. If you have trouble with your employer over an issue and cannot settle it, you cannot leave the KSA and are left at the mercy of your honest or not so honest employer. It means being treated like one of their slaves, and that does not make me sleep too well.

True life in a container, and being herded on and off a prison bus to work in the desert isn't fun. No cold beer as well!!

As for the passport, I have always maintained it is not even my property, it is the property of HM government, noone gets to hold it indefinitely, only me.
