I heard in the Quran it teaches that women are allowed to hold property and the men must respect them and keep off of their property. Doesn't that sound like sovereign rights which are almost universal in the modern world which everyone should have? Arabic muslims who want to tout their own horn about how great their civilization is need to look at the slave trade, the invasion of India, the willing partnership with the mongol hordes with suppressing people from countries such as china, honor killings, and the general contemptuous attitude they hold towards people of different backgrounds/beliefs.
