A short list of issues we face:

- never ending webs of lies / "miscommunication" from both the Chinese management and the people who should be managing the FT's Nothing new there, This is common in many Chinese schools

- the FT's are always last to know anything - even students get to know what dates we will be allowed to leave before we do We have been told at 5pm on a Friday afternoon that we are required to attend school at 10am Saturday morning because it's 'Parents Day' - something we later find out was arranged 2 weeks ago - again, nothing new

- zero resources available to teachers, they will provide chalk to write on the blackboard, that's it. Yep, no textbooks, no printer, no photocopier.

- deductions from our salaries without cause or reason Illegal. Check your contract.

- few / no rights - utterly hopeless Directors with no sway with the school Not 'hopeless', just incompetent. Yet they are the ones allowed to judge the competence of FTs.

- mandatory meetings / events that fall on your day off Check your contract. If it doesn't say you should attend mandatory meetings on your day off, they cannot force you to.

- the head of the school is truly the most unpleasant person you will ever meet Bad luck !

- the most useless and rude Chinese staff you will ever meet - and that's on a good day

- mandatory overtime which you will never be paid for. If you have signed a contract that allows them to make you do mandatory overtime without pay, then you're a fool for signing it.

The best advice I can think of is to thoroughly check your contract before signing it, then stick to it - RIGIDLY.

Peizheng is not only an avoid.

This gulag, this stain of an organization, MUST be closed.

It is not an issue of blacklisting it anymore. It is much bigger than that.

AN ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE OF A SCHOOL. IT IS A VENUS FLYTRAP IN ALL SENSES. IF YOU HAVE HALF A BRAIN, HALF AN EDUCATION, HECK, EVEN IF NOT, AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS. THAT PROVINCE HAS THE HIGHEST NUMBER OF CASES OF VIOLENCE AGAINST FOREIGNERS THAN ANYWHERE ELSE IN CHINA.

TWO TEACHERS FROM PEIZHENG COLLEGE HAVE BEEN BRUTALLY BEATEN WHILE OUT AND/OR TRAVELING IN THE REGION AND LEFT WITH PERMANENT INJURIES (2006-2008).

PEIZHENG COLLEGE AND KARL WANG WILL NEVER HANDLE YOUR LONG TERM "WORKING VISA", YOU WILL NEED TO BATTLE JUST TO GET THE FAO DEPT. TO EVEN PARTIALLY FUND A CHEAP BUS TRIP TO HONG KONG WHICH WILL BE YOUR LAST RESORT OPPORTUNITY TO GET YOUR VISA STRAIGHTENED OUT, YES, CROSSING THE BORDER OUTSIDE THE COUNTRY!!!!! YOU CAN LIVE THE FEAR THAT THE VERY SUSPICIOUS "SCHOOL SPONSORED" PERSON WHO MEETS YOU IN HONG KONG WILL NOT TAKE CARE OF YOUR VISA WITH YOU SEPARATED BY AN INTERNATIONAL BORDER FROM ALL OF YOUR BELONGINGS BACK IN GUANGDONG. THE FAO OFFICE BREAKS DOWN FINALLY AND "PERMITS" YOU TO TAKE THE TRIP TO HK, USUALLY A FEW HOURS BEFORE YOUR TOURIST OR WHATEVER PREVIOUS VISA YOU HAVE IS SET TO EXPIRE.

IF YOU WANT ULCERS, TO LIVE IN FEAR, UNBELIEVABLY HYPOCRITICAL AND HORRIBLE TREATMENT THEN GO THERE.

DONT BE LURED BY THE "PROMISE" AND ADS OF HIGHER PAY, 8000 RMB BLAH BLAH BLAH, NOT TRUE AT ALL, AND EVEN IF THE PAY WERE TRULY STIPULATED AT 8000, THEN YOU MUST BATTLE WITH NOT BEING PAID AT ALL. WHO NEEDS THAT!?

I DON'T KNOW WHAT THE FOREIGN TEACHERS THERE ARE SMOKING (ALTHOUGH I HAVE AN IDEA, MUST HAVE BEEN WHAT THEY WERE ON WHEN I WORKED THERE) BUT THE SCHOOL IS NOTHING BUT SCENIC, CHECK OUT PICS AND JUDGE FOR YOURSELF, THERE IS A CREEK RUNNING BEHIND THE FT DORMS, IT STINKS OF SWAMP AND ATTRACTS EVERY FLYING CREATURE TO YOUR WINDOWS AND GLASS DOOR, UNLESS YOU OPEN ONE OR THE OTHER, THEN YOU WILL HAVE NUMEROUS ROOMMATES.

PLEASE, I HAVE BEEN THERE AND EXPERIENCED THE WORST NIGHTMARE OF MY LIFE........IF YOU CAN PUSH A BROOM, GO TO A NEARBY ANYTHING OR MCDONALDS IN YOUR COUNTRY AND AVOID AVOID AVOID PEIZHENG COLLEGE AT ALL COSTS.

IF YOU ARE IN ANOTHER PART OF CHINA, WELL, I SUGGEST THE AIRPORT AND A FLIGHT OUT, IF YOU ARE INTENT ON STAYING IN THE COUNTRY, ANYWHERE BUT GUANGDONG AND PEIZHENG COLLEGE.

I am wondering - are you the "Carl" or "Karl Wang" running this Peizheng College as the Director?

According to a Google search and the details on the Peizheng website, there is a Karl/Carl Wang posing asd a director of that "school".

Now, can you tell me, are you really that person, or did you just use that director's nick to post against that pretend "school" on here? In case of the latter, I applaud you for doing so, your sense of humour is really refreshing..LOL

It tells me they get lots of phone calls from Mr. He at the exit and entry Bureau. and Mr. He had 2 phone calls from the Canadian Consulate in GZ. .what does that tell you ? payment was made ha ha ha ha
