Hangzhou, go for a city school first see if you like the country and then go travelling for a while to see if you like a more rural life.. the further away from the big cities the less western things you'll be able to find
Hi all
I am a first time teacher and I have been offered 2 positions from two reputable schools, one is based in Wuxi and one is based in Hangzhou. The school in Hangzhou is offering me around 1500rmb more but both still offer a good pay rate of 7500rmb+.
My question is, which city would you recommend for a first time teacher who has never been to the far east before? I have no concerns about the schools, I am actually really struggling to decide which one to pick as they both seem really good, although with the pay higher at Hangzhou I am slightly more inclined to pick that school at the moment. Any tips or advice regarding either or both cities would be very much appreciate as I need to make the decision very soon.
