Interesting article, but one that shows you a flaw inherent in people of all nations. Chinese people have told me that they believe they are more inherently intelligent than white people while making a remark in a similiar light. Guess there are too many people in the world with a lot of insecurity in their heads.

and many white people have told me in the past that this is one reason why they intensely dislike the Chinese.
It doesn't help that any criticism of contemporary China, no matter how minute, will always result in young nationalistic chinese getting angry.
Brainwashing in the education system, especially in history classes is very common. I once knew a Chinese girl, who had a habit of shagging any western/white guy she took a fancy too...but would tell me strongly I know that I am a Chinese, I am proud...I am pretty sure her mother/teacher if they knew of her habits wouldn't approve.
