After a long search, I found a tobacconist in the city where I work. At first I called him to find out if he had any sandblasted finish Petersons in stock. He didn't, so I thought I would have a look down there. I ended up buying something close, but not exactly what I wanted. The guy in the shop really took a shine to me and we became good friends.

I visited him again several weeks later to stock up on tobacco. He was not so upfront about the new shipment of pipes that had come in and on display in the window. Amongst them, perhaps to no surprise, was the exact sandblasted Peterson model I wanted earlier.

Perhaps a combination of being my friend and using me?
