Working without a degree in China is not illegal. And contrary to what people say, you can still get a legal RP wihout a degree in some places.

I don't disagree. I never said it was impossible...only that it was a lot harder than it used to be. And it is that.
I'm reluctant to over-encourage people without a degree to set their sights on teaching in China. It's not impossible, but the odds are now stacked pretty heavily against them.
