I think you were looking for the wrong thing in Quang Ngai if you know what I mean. There's a huge "sexpat" community in Ho Chi Minh, that might have been a better fit for you. Please disregard that nasty message. It's a great school overall and they do everything they can to make you a happy teacher there.

I agree with Turnoi. What did the contract say? If you have a signed, official contract, you have grounds to pursue this, or at least report this to your Embassy if the employer in question reneged on your contract. I went over my contract before leaving the US with a fine-toothed comb, so to speak. Did you?
