How would I know it would not be tolerated? Because I have been living in that city, read my original post. The locals will not tolerate one of there girls marrying a foreigner and the girl will not marry you because they know the local will look down on them. To add to that marriage there is not a personal decision made by the couple. It is a decision based upon what the parents think and how much money you have and would the locals accept it. Clearly you have not been to china and you definitely have not been to Luoding.
