It is appalling for me to see this, I used to be greedy and selfish like that in the late 80's, early 90's, like looking in a mirror, but I cured my addiction to consumerism in the mid 90's.

I recently met an old friend, who is now an ex friend, who told that spending 1,000 rmb in HK and another 1,000 rmb in Macau is nothing. When I argued that 2,000 rmb is perhaps more than many migrant workers can earn in a month, this was met with blank stares.

The current 20 something generation have an appalling attitude of entitlement and indifference...a powder keg if you ask me!
