Re: re: chinese students attacked in sydney

There are a lot of Pakistanis and Indians where I teach at the moment. They shove and push people out of the way all the time. They really do have no respect for personal space at all.

I'd agree. They did the same in Oman.

However, a lot of Indians I met were polite, perhaps moreso than other asians.

Re: re: chinese students attacked in sydney

I don't think anyone deserves beating up for shoving others in a queue. There are a lot of Pakistanis and Indians where I teach at the moment. They shove and push people out of the way all the time. They really do have no respect for personal space at all. This said I do not punch them or threaten them when they are shoving me in a queue at the bank or in a take-away. I simply turn to them and tell them to back off and not stand coughing and breathing down my neck. I fully understand that these people are peasants and the countries that they come from show little to no respect for other people what so ever. This said, do they deserve attacking for their ignorance? I think not.
