Fractured in the sense that posts with the same subject and often with what seems to be a similar topic at least to the previous post to which the poster is replying (though not perhaps the original subject) are spread across the site.

Examples on the review section of this site would include

Guangdong Ocean University in Zhanjiang China
Shane, Kunming
Shanghai United International

Certainly threads can develop in any number of strange, humorous or sometimes abusive ways. Your laws regarding Hitler and the Nazi's or your particular rule for this site about the term 'GWs' or the Chinese would be examples of this. However, it is difficult to track the development of threads when they are fractured across a forum as opposed to, well, unraveling in the manner of a thread. I always assumed a thread to be a singular, sometimes long yet unbroken strand of information.
