Re: Internet in China

I've been wondering about the internet service in China too. I do a little internet marketing on the side and would hate to not be able to access the 'real' internet. The teaching gig is something I do for the fun of the cross-cultural experience. It's my understanding that foreign teachers in China just have to use proxies most of the time. Is that correct?

Internet in China

Ni Hao: Please forgive if I'm asking a question already addressed. I've arrived in China and have been teaching here 2 weeks now, the office where I work has wifi and I can access the internet, but so many sites are not available, seems like anything "infospace" is banned/blocked. Does anyone know a way around this ban? or how the access the majority of the internet. I wish to adopt a baby and even the Chinese sites on this subject is blocked. Thank you

Sincerely
Daryl
