The staff at Chinese airports are rude, inefficient, lazy, and incompetent.

You might want to include train stations as well as bus stations with that. Sadly we see the true natures of people after they've developed for a while. Years ago when the country was poor the people seemed to be more humble and honestly curious about life in the outside world. Unfortunately it seems like most of that were just false impressions. Once the people have gotten money they seem to feel that there is no need to behave decently anymore.

The next time you hear Chinese people who want to complain and be rude about how things are abroad or how expats are behaving badly in China, kindly remind them of the over 750,000 Foreign Companies that have investments in China as well as the 2,000 Non-Governmental Organizations which contribute to the economy. Don't forget the 2 Billion Dollars in foreign aid too.
