Re: the Neil Heywood case

Having said that, however, Bo's family's threatening ambitions are also well known by locals and across the borders. They both have demonstrated how dangerously fearful they can be. Perhaps, their own fear of losing what they were building on has provided them with the motive to take the Brit's life away.

Dear Mr Gibson,

What we are seeing here is the asian caucasian cross mix, with the usual mix of crooks, gangsters and spinners, and of course too much alcohol and women.

It could be argued he met his end, through his own avarice, greed and stupidity.

It seems that foreigners in China, like heywood, can become truly greedy to the bottom of the barrel, and not even value the lives of others. We see this at a smaller level at training centres, much less, but nonetheless it is greed that is driving them.

Regards,
SMGS

Re: the Neil Heywood case

CL, Ms Gu's work will most certainly come back at her as much as whatever her husband has stood for and/or done. I've previously indicated a coincidental timing of the murder and Mr Bo's aspirations for the top post in the party with which I've meant to apply a few possibilities. Him, his wife, or authorities in the system may have had their motives and opportunities to take Mr Heywood's life in such a way.

By looking at the case, it is ironic that the Brit may not have had much of significance here whatsoever. Sadly enough it may have much more to do with the family of Bo and his rivals out of whom some claimed they wanted Bo's head before. Not only in the central government but locally too were some immensely bitter with Mr Bo's directions. Fighting corruption to such an extent while at the same time being corrupt is like shooting oneself in a leg numerous times. Perhaps, this is the reason why the central government is having and will most likely have great difficulties to bring in its justice for Mr Bo. How does one make a reasonable judgment when he/she is as guilty?

In the end, we will only know what is given to us via media or what people say and so we may never learn what has really been behind the great wall curtain.

Peace with beers
