People like this would without a doubt be unemployable in the UK, even for a menial job like working as a cleaner or something like that. Backbitting, gossiping, these are all behaviours which while acceptable as a part of chinese culture would quickly lead to disapproval from your work colleagues or even dismissal.

That's true. And Chinese employers are good at choosing the potential gw's from among their job applicants based upon the information and tone of individual resumes!
Too many foreigners who work in China eventually adopt the rotten work culture that is prevalent here! Disgraceful indeed!

We should just draw the conclusion that EVERYWHERE you go in china there will be GW's. A lot of the times these folks will sound critical of china but will chicken out when it comes to making a stand for getting local chinese to own up to responsibility and behaving in a fair manner.

What is sickening is these idiots will stop at nothing to tell you to shut up and not criticize, but will tell the chinese everything you told them behind your back to gain more points with them. I have no doubts a couple of the more recent posters fit this category. It's pathetic to see people become desperate enough to put us down for criticizing things in the general world of ESL on a discussion board.
