Re: EF Hangzhou Hell - SEVERE WARNING!!

My man, fyi EF has many appreciative foreign teachers who make bundles of money by DELIVERING teaching that is appreciated by the students.

While I would specifically compare your attitude towards your EF bosses as metaphorically akin to that of a certain common physical activity which is always physically pleasurable for both sides except in this case when one(EF) is forcing the other(YOU) to participate, in which the receiving party is almost always causing auditory havoc due to the unpleasantries. But I think being too detail oriented would mean my entire post being edited by the moderators on this discussion board.

As for what is "appreciated by the students" in this case as described by you, it certainly cannot be called education. It cannot be called anything of value. What it can be called starts with a C and ends in a P, and it always smells bad.

I highly appreciate EF Hangzhou - they gave me a nice, almost luxury apartment near the school when I arrived. And I made 19,000 RMB a month by teaching 16 classes a week.
If it only were true...LOL

Benjie, you sound like a hooker with that "bundle of money" which "students appreciate". Yeah, I bet there are a few more like you out there. But that's a problem, isn't it? This isn't the oldest profession we're debating, is it?
Cheers and beers to the "bundle of money" and Benjie's bending techniques :LOL

Re: EF Hangzhou Hell - SEVERE WARNING!!

Right, one more EF goon comes out of the willows. I am sure since EF worked for you then the bad experiences of others simply do not matter. It's so convenient for the likes of you to say how you benefited when so many have not. The "me first" attitude that you display is typical of a low ranking ghoul on the oligarch totem pole.

appreciative foreign teachers who make bundles of money by DELIVERING teaching that is appreciated by the students. That's how it works here. Think about the following, the number of moaners and whiners working for EF franchises in China is minescule compared to their total foreign workforce. But if you want to make REAL money, you have to work the hours, and satisfy the students. EF is a business, not an easy option.

The problem here is Benjie, what DOS's and FT's who work under them at EF, WEB, NEW ORIENTAL and all those other crappy place with stupid names don't realize is that Education is not, and should not, be a BUSINESS or FRANCHISE. Your talk is equating education with opening a subway and selling sandwiches imho.....

Training school education is in demand. Rich Chinese with money to throw around looking to get their little emperors educated are their patrons. We foreigners who come so far from our homelands should cash in!
